Recipe for Risotto
Publisher: UWA Publishing
Josephine Clarke grew up in the South West of WA, the daughter of Italian immigrants. Recipe for Risotto is her first poetry collection, however her work has been published in various journals and she is actively involved in the poetry scene in Perth. Her work speaks of family, place, migration, belonging, alienation, memory, the domestic, small towns, and the bush. Clarke delicately weaves threads that bind these things together. She has a keen eye for the telling detail, the foibles of humans, and the complexities of immigration. This is a joyous and graceful collection of poetry which is deceptively simple and deeply moving.
