Summary
Life Stories | Picture Books | Illustration | Photography | Founder of the Book Incubator
Kate has many strings to her bow, including photography, writing, illustrating and sculpting. But it is Kate’s belief that everyone has a story to tell that drives all of the creative programs and workshops that she develops, and is the driving force behind the foundation of the Book Incubator.
Passionate about recording life stories and memoirs, The Book Incubator makes story telling in print possible for anyone. The youngest person to have completed the program is three and the oldest some eighty-five years her senior. In 2020 Kate was inducted into the WA Women's Hall of Fame for her contribution to West Australian arts and culture.
Biography
Memoir | Picture Books | Illustration | Photography | Founder of the Book Incubator
Believing in the importance of storytelling and passionate about creating family legacies, Kate developed the Book Incubator’s signature program, From Storyboard to Print. In these carefully designed workshops, participants learn to structure, write, and illustrate their stories, which are then professionally designed, printed, and launched for family and friends. This process offers immense therapeutic benefits to the authors.
The award-winning program provides inclusive, challenging, and achievable opportunities for anyone looking to share their story in print. Based in the South West, the Book Incubator offers programs for groups and individuals both in-person locally and online across the globe.
