Summary

Sue Tredget is a Perth based writer, speaker and teacher. She is the author of two memoirs, seven children's picture books and a collection of poems. Sue is fascinated by the way we deal with adversity and the power of words to help us heal and make sense of our lives.

Biography

Sue Tredget grew up in Northern Ireland and lived in France, Spain and England before emigrating to Perth in 1999. In 2014 she took a career break from teaching and set off on a year of adventure and self-discovery. She travelled solo around Italy, stayed at a retreat in India, walked part of the Camino de Santiago, and began writing - her own version of Eat, Pray, Love, without the divorce ... or the publisher's advance! Sue had always dreamt of becoming an author but hadn't bargained on her writing career emerging from two major health crises. She is hoping her next book will be a work of fiction. A passionate mental health advocate, Sue has been a volunteer speaker with Beyond Blue since 2015, sharing her lived experience to help raise community awareness and reduce stigma.
