Biography
Jill Griffiths is an author with a deep fascination with the places, both physical and ideological, where people and nature intersect, where our biological reality meets our modern selves. This is what she most enjoys writing about, as is evident in her narrative non-fiction book What’s for Dinner?, which explores the animals, plants and people that feed us and what our choices mean for them, us and the planet.
Jill graduated from Murdoch University with a BSc in biology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism. Three decades working as a science writer followed, during which time Jill worked with leading researchers, mainly in environmental, agricultural and life sciences, bringing their stories and research to the broader public.
Jill has taught professional writing at Curtin University and has run writing courses for a wide range of participants.
She now blogs and is working on another book (or two!). Jill is available to conduct workshops and give author presentations.
