How much does Individual Membership cost?
To access all the great benefits of Individual Membership with Writing WA, it costs $55 per year, which is just over $1 per week.
What is the difference between Individual Membership and a Literati Directory subscription?
Subscription to the Literati Directory is an optional extra for Individual Members. A Literati Directory subscription is for writing and publishing professionals with proven qualifications for working in their respective fields. It allows them to advertise their services in the Literati Directory. For current Individual Members, it is an additional $45 to add a subscription to the Literati Directory. For people who do not currently have a paid membership, a Literati Directory subscription costs $100 (which includes Individual Membership plus the Literati Directory benefits).
What is the difference between Individual Membership and Corporate Membership?
Both membership options provide access to the same range of member benefits. However, Corporate Membership is meant for incorporated businesses or associations. Corporate Membership benefits apply to all staff (and authorised representatives) associated with the incorporated business or association. However, when it comes to voting (e.g. at the Annual General Meeting), only one person associated with a Corporate Membership can be authorised to vote on behalf of the business or association. Meanwhile, Individual Members get one vote per membership, even if they are also associated with a Corporate Membership.
Can I join as an Individual Member if I am part of an unincorporated group or if I am operating an unincorporated business?
Yes, you can join as an Individual Member. You are welcome to let us know the name of your business or group, and your unincorporated business or group will have access to the same range of member benefits as Corporate Members. However, these benefits will apply only to a single person, rather than to all staff (and authorised representatives) associated with the business or group.
