Stories with Pride Top 8 at Raine Square

The incredible stories of our Stories with Pride Top 8 are now available in the Raine Square Short Story Dispenser and proudly showcased outside the Writing WA office (inside the State Library of WA) throughout November 2024 in celebration of PrideFEST in Perth.

Today, we joined our Top 8 storytellers at Raine Square for an exciting visit to see their stories brought to life in the dispenser!

Our Top 8 Pride authors are:
Alice Macri with ‘Sparks’
Brittany Lee with ‘A Sisyphean Task’
Ellie Cottrell with ‘There’s Been Complaints’
Graeme Watson with ’15 November 2017′
Josh Radwell with ‘On Their Anniversary’
Peter Fowlie-Morris with ‘To Be Loved Is To Be Known’
Sarah Birch with ‘Prismatic’
Scott-Patrick Mitchell with ‘Love Mum’

If you can’t make it to Raine Square or the State Library, you can check out these amazing stories through the Raine Square website under ‘Go West’ or click here.

This is the first of five exciting activations for the Short Story Showcase as part of Writing WA’s ‘Changing the Conversation: Stories in All Spaces’, a 2024-25 project funded by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries featuring themed short works from WA authors.
