We can’t wait for the Writers Weekend!
We’ve put together a collection of FAQs to give you all the info you need to get the most out of your experience this weekend. The Perth Festival Writers Weekend will take place from 23-25 February 2024.
WHAT IS WRITERS WEEKEND?
Perth Festival and peak writing body Writing WA have unleashed a packed program of panels, workshops, readings, performances, and conversations in the heart of Perth at the State Library of Western Australia.
Just like to hang out? Try the Story Place readings and activities zone for families, a café and bar for snacks and drinks and Boffins pop-up bookstore, where you can purchase books and get them signed by your favourite authors.
HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?
All Writers Weekend panel sessions and Family Program events are Pay What You Can. This means you can pay as little (or as much) as you wish. Anything you pay above the suggested $24 per session ticket price will help other people attend Festival events where cost is a barrier. We want Writers Weekend to be accessible to all!
Workshops are $40 per person.
Our Masterclass is $100 ($80 concession).
Special evening events are $25 per person.
All sessions, screenings and workshops require a ticket for entry. Tickets can be presented digitally or printed for access on the day.
HOW DO WE GET THERE?
You can ride a bike, drive or take public transport!
