The CBCA 2020 Book of the Year Awards has been announced.

When Billy Was a Dog, written by Kirsty Murray and illustrated by Karen Blair was named an Honour Book in the Early Childhood category.

Magabala Books had two of their titles honoured too. Young Dark Emu: A Truer History by Bruce Pascoe won the Eva Pownall Award and Baby Business by Jasmine Seymour won the CBCA Award for New Illustrator.
