Biography
Cristy Burne is a science writer and author of children’s outdoor adventures and popular science/non-fiction. She’s a past editor of CSIRO’s Scientriffic magazine, Fermilab and CERN’s iSGTW, and Scitech’s ScienceNetworkWA. She’s also a regular contributor to Double Helix, Particle, and other STEM publications.
Cristy has published five novels for children and one non-fiction book on the human history of computing. Her books are published in Australia, the UK, US, Indonesia and Finland.
Cristy's latest books, TO THE LIGHTHOUSE (set on Rottnest Island) and OFF THE TRACK (set on the Bibbulmun Track), encourage outdoor adventures.
Her recent non-fiction title, ZEROES AND ONES, was a CBCA Notables book for 2019.
