The Catalyst Scroll is a speculative Fictions writing competition for Australian and New Zealand Creatives that are 16+ years old.

Bushland Castle Productions invites speculative fiction scenes that capture the instant something shifts; a belief fractures, a truth is revealed, a system collapses, or a new understanding takes hold. This competition is not about the aftermath. It is about the Catalyst of change.

Submissions opened on the 2nd of April 2026 and close on the 18th of June 2026.

Entry fee is $30 to get your share of the $1000 prize pool.

All Submissions must be previously unpublished work between 1000-1500 words
