Summary

I’m just a Dad who loves to make stuff up and to sing with my kids. I've moonlighted as a scientist, lawyer, musician and now children's book author.

I grew up in a small country town (Narrogin) and our house was filled with books, music and laughter. I love singing. I almost never used to stop! I still sing, read and laugh a lot. So do my kids.

Over the years I have released some music as "Lies & Jest", including an EP of family songs called "Endless Days...". On that EP were two fun songs for my kids - "Emily's Walk" & "Tom's Lullaby".

With Alison Mutton’s wonderful illustrations, those songs have become picture books. Each book has a QR code that links to a free full animation set to the songs that grandparents, parents and their kids can singalong with. I hope to continue to create playful and thoughtful singalong picture books - I just have to come up with the songs first...

Biography

Michael Maxwell is a father who loves to write and sing. He has moonlighted as a scientist, lawyer, musician and now children's book author. He is the author of children's sing-along picture books Emily's Walk and Tom's Lullaby (illustrated by Alison Mutton).
