Lorraine is a lover of stories of all shapes and sizes and writes for children and adults. She has written a non-fiction book for students going onto higher education, 'You've Got This, Tips for the Uncertain Student', inspired by her own students struggling to overcome imposter syndrome and fear of failure.

Her picture book, 'When You Left', published by Dixi Books explores the emotions around divorce and separation and the conflicting feelings around the introduction of a step-parent.

The Magic Lunch Box is a junior fiction chapter book with themes of friendship, acceptance and making a difference.

Having spent many years working in the media, Lorraine enjoys presenting and interviewing authors as well as running workshops.

Lorraine has spent most of her working life in the media. She started out in TV news, worked in print media, spent over a decade as a presenter and producer with ABC Radio and is a freelance writer, ghostwriter and author.

Lorraine gives talks and workshops on a variety of topics and facilitates events with other authors.

She also works with Curtin University as a tutor teaching Communications and Academic Writing in the university’s enabling program.

Lorraine writes for adults and children and is a long-time member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and is a committee member of the Children’s Book Council of Australia WA Branch.
