Summary

Lisa Collyer is a poet and educator in Boorloo. She is the author of the poetry collection, How To Order Eggs Sunny Side Up, which was short-listed for The Dorothy Hewett Award in 2022 and is published with Life Before Man, Gazebo Books. Biography

Lisa Collyer is a poet and educator living and working in Boorloo (Perth). She writes poetry about women’s bodies like the jagged edge of a can opened-up. She has been published in Westerly, Cordite, Rabbit, Australian Poetry Anthology, Science Write Now, Meniscus Literary Journal and more. She was an Inspire writer-in-residence with The National Trust of WA and was short-listed for The Dorothy Hewett Award for her unpublished manuscript. Her debut collection, How to Order Eggs Sunny Side Up, is published with Life Before Man, the poetry imprint of Gazebo Books. She has appeared in literary panels with The National Trust of W.A., Perth Writer's Festival, Mandurah Readers' and Writers' Festival and in collaboration with other artists at Fremantle Library, Wanneroo Library, Rabble Books and Games and more. Her personal essay, 'Prolonged Exposure' will be published in a Fremantle Press anthology, 'Women of a Certain Courage'.
