The KYD Mentors Program is a unique, comprehensive and structured editorial mentorship program designed to support early-career writers in the development of a long-form work of fiction or non-fiction.

Writers across Australia can apply to work with Claire G. Coleman, Carly Findlay, Leanne Hall, Graeme Simsion, Rebecca Starford, or Fiona Wright over a six-month period. A mentorship consists of close reading and reporting on your work in progress (10-12,000 words at a time, totalling up to 60,000 words), along with five consultations over Skype, phone or in-person over the six-month period. Mentorships will begin in February and finish in July 2020.

Cost: $3299. This figure is paid in three instalments: $299 deposit to secure your booking; $1500 due by 6 December; $1500 due 3 February 2020. KYD Members receive a 5% discount.

Applications close 17 November 2019.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application on 26 November.
