The Copyright Agency’s Fellowship for Non-Fiction Writing will support an Australian author for one year to create a significant new work of literary non-fiction.
Applications will be accepted for the following literary genres:
- criticism and review
- arts/science writing
- political analysis
- writing on the environment; and
- other genres which contribute to the national discussion/polemic.
To be eligible to apply, the author must have a publishing contract in place or a letter of intent to publish from an Australian-based publisher.
Amount of grant: $80,000.
Projects must start after mid-August 2021.
Applicants must have previously published at least two full-length books of their own creative writing (of which one book may be self-published).
Closing date: Monday 28 June 2021.
