The Beatrice Davis Editorial Fellowship, named after the distinguished literary editor Beatrice Davis honouring her contribution to Australian letters, has been awarded biennially since 1998.
It provides a unique opportunity for a senior editor to develop knowledge and expertise from other book publishing markets to share with industry peers and colleagues upon return.
The Fellowship enables an editor to undertake a professional development program comprising of a contemporary professional research project in an international market followed by a series of presentations to peers and industry in Australia. The value of the Fellowship is $AUD20,000 and the project’s budget must not exceed this amount.
Editors are encouraged to apply for the Fellowship by proposing a research project for consideration.
