Welcome to the West Coast Writers Club!
Meeting the last Sunday of each month in the Pilbara Room of the State Library of WA, the purpose of this club is to keep members accountable to their creative practice – whether that’s by discussing works in progress, providing a space for constructive feedback or putting in a placeholder for dedicated writing time in your calendar… this club can be whatever you would like to make of it. WCWC is welcoming of all genres (and genders! 🏳️🌈), whether you’re a long-form science fiction writer, poet or flash memoir writer. It’s a space to chat about your work with likeminded folk. WCWC is an inclusive space, both online and offline. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated, and you will be immediately removed from this group and asked to leave the in-person meet-ups.
Finally, WCWC takes place on the land of the Whadjuk Nyungar People. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and acknowledge the generations of storytellers that have gone before us, walk beside us and will come after us.
