The Nance Donkin Literary Award Winner

She may live ‘five hours from what is said to be the most isolated capital city in the world’, but distance has not prevented author Dianne Wolfer being recognised this week, when she was announced the winner of The Nance Donkin Award, a biennial award for a woman author in Australia who writes for children.

The award is an initiative of the Society of Women Writers Victoria, with nominations sought from other state branches of the Society of Women Writers.

You can read Dianne’s acceptance speech on her website.

Congratulations, Dianne!
