Stuart Hadow Short Story Prize 2019 Winners

The winning entries of the Stuart Hadow Short Story Prize were announced at Mattie Furphy House in Swanbourne on Saturday 20 July 2019.

Congratulations to Nadia L. King for her winning story, ‘Mariko’s Mouse’.

Carmel Lillis was awarded second prize for ‘How I’ll Know Her’, with third prize going to John Scholz for ‘Boat People’

​Highly Commended certificates were awarded to:

  • Michael Hunt for ‘Between two Eternities’
  • Jim Brigginshaw for ‘The White Horse’
  • David Vernon for ‘The Wrong Side of the Tracks’

Commended certificates were awarded to:

  • Susan Thompson for ‘Letter from the Last Duchess’
  • Lesey Neale for ‘Amber the Dog’
  • Ted Witham for ‘The Odd Number’
