An existing partnership betweeen Fremantle Press, the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers’ Centre (KSP), the Fellowship of Australian Writers WA (FAWWA), WA Poets Inc and Peter Cowan Writers Centre (PCWC) is set to continue thanks to the support of WA’s Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.

The Four Centres Emerging Writers Program, which first ran between from 2019 to 2020, is a series of workshops, mentorships and special events to encourage more writers to prepare their manuscripts for submission. During the two-year program writers work alongside a community of peers at a similar stage in their career and receive encouragement for achieving their writing goals.

Between 30 and 40 emerging Western Australian authors will have the opportunity to develop their manuscripts while learning the ins and outs of the publishing process and the business of being a writer.

More information about key dates and the application process will be announced shortly.
