2019 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards Shortlist

The shortlist for the 2019 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards has been announced.

Congratulations to everyone on the shortlist, but especially the following Western Australian authors:

  • Paul Genoni and and Tanya Daziell for their book Half the Perfect World: Writers, Dreamers and Drifters on Hydra 1955–1964 (Monash University Press), which has been shortlisted in the Non-fiction category;
  • Anna Haebich for Dancing in Shadows: Histories of Nyungar Performance (UWA Publishing), shortlisted in the Australian History category.

Congratulations also go to Magabala Books, who published Blakwork by Alison Whittaker, which has been shortlisted in the Poetry category.
