Tom Clark released his debut novel 'The Fossilarchy' in March 2022. A cli-fi political thriller, it has been described as 'an exhilarating read tackling the climate crisis' and has received 5 stars from Readers' Favorite. After a lifetime of writing non-fiction as an international environmental consultant, Tom decided to turn his hand to fiction to help relieve peoples' climate anxiety and convey the urgent need for change in an entertaining way. He has been described as 'an exciting new voice in adult fiction.'
Born in the UK, Tom has been involved in environmental protection and campaigning since 1978 and has been a consultant to governments and companies in environment, sustainability, and climate change since 1990. At last count he had worked in 28 countries.
Aside from the environment, he has many interests and passions including modern history, nature and wildlife, politics, music and beer. Since 1999, he has lived in Western Australia with his family, travelling and working around Australia, appreciating its beauty and diversity. During this time, he observed Australian climate politics with a mix of amusement and horror. It was this, paired with the current global crisis that moved him to write The Fossilarchy.
