Recent experience

I am currently employed through the Education Department of Western Australia at Palmyra Primary School as a classroom teacher. I have delivered many sessions at my school as I have been developing this project. Prior to the recent publication of Monkey Mind on November 1, 2020, I have been taking bookings for author talks at schools in 2021 on topics such as writing and creating persuasive, information and texts, picture books - design process and publication, and how to teach visual literacy to children. My special interests include mental health in schools, particularly focused on anxiety and growth mindset, and Monkey Mind is based on this research.

In 2017 and 2018 I tutored adults in a bridging course - OnTrack, at Murdoch University.
