Zine-Making Workshop for Young People

2 October @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Hey there, future zinisters!

Ever wanted to create your own mini-magazine but didn’t know where to start? We’ve got you covered. Welcome to the world of zines—your personal canvas for anything and everything you want to express. Zines are self-made, self-produced publications where you can express anything and everything that matters to you—whether it’s art, writing, music, or your unique perspective.

This event is part of The Spark program, made possible by the generosity of the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries. The Spark offers young people the opportunity to dive into various creative projects, from podcasting to filmmaking, and now—zine-making!

What’s the Event?
This is a free, chill workshop where you’ll learn how to make your very own zine from scratch. You’ll also get the chance to collaborate with other participants to create a group zine. Guided by award-winning artist Sophie Minissale, this session is perfect for beginners and those with a creative itch to scratch!

Key Details:
– Learn the basics of zine-making (no experience needed)
– Contribute to a collaborative group zine
