Writing with an Enlarged Heart

2 February @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

An abstract painting containing a heart

This creative writing masterclass is designed to reconnect you with the heart of your writing life, and employs reflective writing practice to generate fresh connectivity and inspire new approaches to your material.

The workshop theme is ‘love and the confessional self’ and welcomes both new and experienced writers who wish to expand their practice.

Susan Bradley Smith help you:

  • recall the promise of narrative honesty;
  • explore how this translates into narrative sociality;
  • create new writing (poetry or life writing)

About the presenter: Susan is an award-winning creative writer and essayist, with an interest in bibliotherapy, feminist cultural and literary history, creative nonfiction, and poetry. She has worked as an academic in both Australia and the UK, publishing extensively as a literary critic, theatre historian, and creative writer.
