The Literature Centre, in partnership with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Yamaha and Australian Piano Warehouse, is proud to present The Sound of Picture Books.

These unique multi-modal performances are tailored to the age groups attending and features seven superb WASO musicians, Alf Demasi on piano, Matt Ottley’s composition and Tina Wilson’s illustrations shown on a large screen as she superbly narrates.

Audiences of all ages will be captivated!

In 2021, The Literature centre will again take The Sound of Picture Books on tour to Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School, and there will also be a new northern suburbs venue with performances at Joondalup Library.

The feature book for the performances at The Literature Centre will be Afloat in Venice, written and Illustrated by Tina Wilson with knitting by Joan Wilson. Music composed by Matt Ottley.
