About the book: The Veiled Thread, the first in a trilogy of historical novels by Stephen Twartz, was released in March 2020 and the second book in the series, The Severed Cord, will be released in mid-2021. The Veiled Thread is a gripping family story spanning three generations and moving between the battlefields of World War One, rural New South Wales, and present-day Sydney. Family connection, division and inherited trauma bring together the lives of Eiric O’Sullivan and his grandson Harry. Published by Pegasus in March 2020.

About the author: Stephen is fascinated by the concept of epigenetics – or inherited trauma – which is a strong theme throughout his books. Stephen has maintained an interest in the creative arts for many years as a writer and also as an artist, focused mainly on the landscape and seascape of Australia’s Southwest. He has also spent time living in the south of France. He lives with his wife, Susie, two dogs and an indoor cat. Stephen regularly gets out on the waves surfs around the south west coast.
