7 May @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$35 – $50

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to assess elements of style, character, plot and pacing in the initial stages of self-editing.

Ideal for writers who already have a first draft of their manuscript and are looking at the next stage, in this workshop you’ll learn how to assess elements of style, character, plot and pacing in the initial stages of self-editing.

Jess Gately discusses the editorial approach to manuscript assessments and structural edits, what notes she takes while reading, and how she pulls it all together to figure out what is and isn’t working. She’ll focus on common issues she sees in the manuscripts she works with and common solutions to these problems, and offer suggestions to writers looking to critically assess their own manuscript.

Cost: $35 for KSP members, $50 for non-members.
