Interested in writing inspiring poetry? Join Shane McCaughley, distinguished poet and former Tom Collin’s Poetry Prize Judge, as he weaves you through the craft of poetry writing.

Shane McCaughley is a prize-winning poet who has had eight books and over 1300 poems published in national and overseas journals.  He has also published stories in (Westerly, 1975) during the 70s to the early 90s.  He has a MA (Hons) in English from the University of Sydney and is a retired TAFE and university lecturer, having taught Creative Writing, among other subjects, for nearly 40 years.

The price per session, payable to the tutor on the day, is $25 for OOTA members and $30 for non-members.

Prose and poetry writers can mingle for lunch between sessions and enjoy prose and/or poetry readings.

You can bring your own lunch or there is a cafe 200 metres away in Kirkwood Road. Tea and coffee making facilities are available.
