|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every 2 weeks that begins at 10:00 am on Friday, repeating until 27 May 2022

$25 – $30

Poetry and Prose Classes are held at Mattie Furphy House, Clare Copse (off Kirkwood Road) Swanbourne. Both classes are held on the same day, every alternate Friday.

Poetry is from 10.00 am to 12.15 pm and prose from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm.

Prose and poetry writers can mingle for lunch between sessions and enjoy prose and/or poetry readings.

You can bring your own lunch or there is a café 200 metres away in Kirkwood Road. Tea and coffee making facilities are available.

Doors will be open for ventilation and the shady porch is also a good option. Please wear masks.

The price per session, payable to the tutor on the day, is $25 for OOTA members and $30 for non-members.

NB: The poetry classes running on Friday 18 March, Friday 1 April and Friday 29 April (and facilitated by Lisa Collyer) will now occur online via Zoom. The workshop for 18 March can be booked via eventbrite. Check OOTA’s Facebook page for updates on future sessions.
