New Norcia Writers’ Festival 2019

The programme for the annual New Norcia Writers’ Festival, to be held on 24 August 2019, has been announced. Like its predecessors, the emphasis is on literature as performance, with author readings accompanying each session.

The programme:

9.15 – 10.00 am: Registration and morning tea.

10.00 am – 10.45 am: Session A – Annamaria Weldon – Stone Mother Tongue poems; Session B – Jon Doust – Boy on a Wire.

11.00 am – 11.45 pm: Session C – Dr Michael Levitt – The Happy Bowel; Session D; Robert Hoffmann and Tommaso Pollio – German Art Song.

11.45 pm – 1.00 pm: Lunch Break – Lunch at Hotel or a picnic lunch.

1.00 pm – 1.45 pm: Session E – Amanda Curtin – Kathleen O’Connor of Paris; Session F – Steve Hawke – Out of Time.

2.00pm – 2.45 pm: Session G – Bindy Pritchard – Fabulous Lives; Session H; Stephen Scourfield/Steve Richter – Elsewhere.

2.45: Wine tasting and light afternoon tea – St Gertrude’s College. Afterwards the Abbey Press and Museum and Art gallery will be open for visitors.
