National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is held nationally on an annual basis during each November. The Maylands Public Library will be hosting weekly informal creative writing workshops to help participants reach their NaNoWriMo goal of writing a 50 thousand word novel in one month.

The following authors will be appearing on these dates:

  • 07 November—Bruce Russell & Chris Bowman: Kickstarting our NaNoWriMo sessions & discussing self-publishing.
  • 14 November—Laurie Steed: The five keys to creating great characters… great fiction, memorable characters.
  • 21 November—Shane McCarthy: Character arcs and interweaving strong character development into themes.
  • 28 November—Annabel Smith: The eight point story arc: what gets a story started, keeps motion & draws it to a satisfying conclusion.
