Esperance Library Friends ELF Inc present WA Author of Catch a Falling Star, Meg McKinlay.

Meg is an award winning children’s writer and poet with publications ranging from picture books, chapter books and young adult novels through to poetry for adults.

A Meet the Author session will be held at the Esperance Museum on Wednesday 10 July. Light lunch included.

In this talk, Meg will focus on “Catch A Falling Star”, which is set against the 1979 backdrop of Skylab falling out of orbit. She’ll talk about the story behind the story, the writing process, the hours she spent poring over old copies of “The Esperance Express”, and much more. There will be plenty of time for Q&A and discussion of all things Skylab, writing for children, and the blurring of lines between fact and fiction.

This is a free event, but bookings are essential for this session. Phone 9083 1500, email [email protected], or drop into the library to book your place.
