Isolation: the Story of Western Australia (and Other Travel Musings) by Stephen Scourfield
9 March @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Free
Stephen Scourfield distills his many years of travelling and writing in Western Australia into Isolation, a book that ranges from non-fiction to poetic, descriptive to intensely personal.
WA’s story is shaped by isolation, and Stephen takes this unique moment to consider this – from geology to flora, and from human stories to those of our remote communities and the isolated capital city of Perth.
Stephen will develop his talk into the wider context of the world and take us to other remote places with incredible stories.
Stephen Scourfield is Travel Editor of The West Australian and an award-winning fiction author.
His new book is the third in a series, following Don’t Forget to Write and Elsewhere. Copies of Isolation: the story of Western Australia will be available for purchase.
