Get ready for HEART WATER – the bi-annual Asia Pacific Writers & Translators Inc. (APWT) summit dedicated in 2024 to the life forces of heart and water.

The conceptual metaphors of nature are essential to many Asian and Thai arts – visual, written and performed. Conceptions of Earth, Water, Wind and Fire (Din Nam Lom Fai) are recognised as intimately connected to representation of natural and cultural heritage in Thailand.

APWT seeks to run a contemporary heart line in dedication to these traditions inviting creative practitioners from around the world to join in a three-day celebration of everything that moves us – the poetics of past and present.

HEART WATER will run in two remarkable venues – home base at Chiang Mai University with feature events to be staged at Kalm Village a stunning art, craft and cultural centre in the heart of Chiang Mai.

Heart Water is open to all those involved in writing and publishing arenas – in all genres, forms and roles. While the focus is on writing from the Asia Pacific the event is international and attendees come from all over the world.
