Submit fiction and creative non-fiction from 3,500 to 5,000 words.

You can write to any theme you like – but the judges are looking for new ideas, fresh voices and bold perspectives.

For the purposes of this competition, “emerging” includes writers ranging from previously unpublished through to those with a maximum of one published book (fiction or non-fiction).

Entry fees: $15 for current subscribers of Griffith Review, $25 for non-subscribers.

Closing date: Monday 1 May 2023.
