City of Rockingham Short Fiction and Poetry Awards 2020

Entries for the City of Rockingham Short Fiction and Poetry Awards 2020 are now open.

The theme for 2020 is ‘connection’, which can be interpreted in any way the writer chooses.

The Awards are open to all Western Australian residents.

The Awards are proudly supported by Serenity Press, Hague Publishing, and the Underground Writers.

The awards are open to all Western Australian residents, and writers may enter into the following categories:

  • New Writer
  • Over 50s Writer
  • Word (Youth category).

All entries will be considered for the Serenity Press Open Award and local residents who enter will automatically be included for the Local Resident Award.

The City of Rockingham will also publish an anthology of short stories and poems to showcase the local writing talent, which will include winners of each category and highly commended entries.

Entry is free.
