Campus Writing Competition

Submissions are now open for fiction and non-fiction entries up to 1,000 words in the Campus Writing Competition.

To enter, you must be a student at an institution that is a Fee-Paying member of Tertiary Access Group (TAG) (NB. In Western Australia, Curtin University, Edith Cowan University and Murdoch University are listed as eligible institutions).

Entry is free to eligible students.


Major Prizes – students have until 1st October to submit their entries to the Major Prizes. Submissions can be in the categories of Fiction or Non-Fiction and a panel of Industry-relevant Judges who will score the submissions. One submission from each of the two categories will be selected to receive the Major Prize valued at up to $1500 per category.

People’s Choice – one submission from each of the two Major Prize categories will receive the $250 People’s Choice prize for that category.  The recipient will be the submission with the highest recorded number of public votes as of midnight on Sunday 31 October 2021.

Instagram Give-Aways – there will be a different theme featured for an Instagram give-away each month. Take a look at the themes on the competition’s website.
