2019 Society of Women Writers NSW National Writing Competition

Applications are now open for the Society of Women Writers NSW National Writing Competition for Short Story – Fiction, Short Story – Non Fiction and Poetry.

Word limits: Short Story – Fiction or Non Fiction – maximum 3,000 words; Poetry – maximum 80 lines per poem.

Entry fees: Short Story- Fiction and Non Fiction: Members: $30.00, Non members: $40.00; Poetry: Members: $15.00 per poem or $40.00 for three, Non-Members: $20 per poem.

Prizes for both non fiction and fiction categories are $500 winner, $250 highly commended and $100 commended.

Prizes for the poetry category are $300 winner, $200 highly commended and $100 commended.

Closing date: 30 June 2019.
