2019 Monte Miller Awards

The Monte Miller Awards are the premier awards for unproduced scripts in Australia, dedicated to uncovering the best new scripts and talents among  the Australian Writers’ Guild (AWG)’s Associate Membership.

Open to: current financial AWG Associate Members. Membership must be valid at the time of entry and for the duration of the competition. Student Members wishing to enter the Monte Miller Award must upgrade their membership. AWG offers to waive the joining fee for new members joining to enter the Monte Miller Award. Full members of the AWG are not eligible to apply.

Categories are open to short and long form work across all genres and formats including short film, feature film, the pilot episode of a television series or miniseries, web series, radio, documentary, theatre, animation or interactive media.Scripts must not have been professionally produced at the time of entry.

Entry fee: $40.00.

Prizes:

Short Form Category: Receive script development funding up to the value of $10,000 from Scripted Ink; have the winning project inducted onto Pathways Showcase; and receive a mentorship with a suitable full member of the AWG.

Long Form Category: script development funding up to the value of $25,000 from Scripted Ink; have the winning project inducted onto Pathways Showcase, and receive a mentorship with a suitable full member of the AWG.

Closing date: Monday 28 October 2019.
