Launch of Westerly 62.1

posted in Events on 13 August, 2017

You are invited to join us to celebrate Westerly's first print issue for 2017!

This diverse collection of work from 50 authors includes the voices of Fay Zwicky, Peter Rose, John Kinsella and the emerging writers from Westerly's 2016 Writers' Development Program. Issue 62.1 has no special focus or theme—as is often the case with general issues—but common threads emerge nevertheless. Many of the works selected for issue 62.1 are concerned with ‘responding to the wrongs of the world’.

With the release of Issue 62.1, Westerly would like to celebrate some of the exciting changes happening at the Westerly office. The magazine will be taking the opportunity to introduce their new Associate Editor, and launching the 2017 Writers' Development Program.

The issue will be officially launched by Kent Anderson, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Community and Engagement) of the University of Western Australia, at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery. Light refreshments will be provided.

Admission is free, but tickets are limited so RSVP is essential via Eventbrite.
