Alice Nelson - Author Event

posted in Events on 9 January, 2019

Alice Nelson is a Perth local writer. Her first novel, The Last Sky, was shortlisted for The Australian/Vogel’s Literary Award, won the T.A.G. Hungerford Award and was shortlisted for the Australian Society of Authors’ Barbara Jefferis Award. She was named Best Young Australian Novelist of 2009 in the Sydney Morning Herald’s national awards program.

Alice works as a freelance journalist and teaches creative writing. Her newly published 2018 novel, The Children’s House, explores the hope and love that create families and the sorrows and griefs that divide them. It is a hymn to the pure, blinding love that it is possible to feel for children not our own, and to the profound consolations that we can find in each other.

Join Dymock's Books at Karrinyup Library to meet Alice and hear her amazing stories about life and writing. Copies of Alice's books will be available for purchase and signing on the night.
