Writers in Libraries
Public libraries are one of the most important parts of our cultural and literary life. To encourage more active use of libraries by introducing readers to writers, writingWA conducts the Writers in Libraries programme.
Member libraries of writingWA can apply to us for funds to enable a professional West Australian writer to visit your library and conduct a 1hr workshop, reading or author talk.
writingWA will pay the writer's fee at applicable ASA rates. All other costs and promotion are the responsibility of the library.
writingWA will pay the writer direct following the event and on receipt of the writer's invoice.
To apply, please complete the online application form.
You will need to have confirmation from your chosen author and date and times of the event. If you don't know how to contact your author, writingWA can help you find them or someone else suitable.
At the completion of your event you must provide us with a brief acquittal report.
