| Biography | Valerie was born in Western Australia and has lived in this glorious state her entire life! She worked as a high school teacher in country and city schools before becoming a full-time mother. During her years at home she has concentrated on writing as well as raising two lovely children, and is now thrilled to be a published author.Her first children's book, The House that Was Built in a Day: Anzac Cottage, was a CBC Notable Book in 2008. She loves researching and writing stories to do with Western Australia's history and people and is currently working on two children's books. Valerie is happy to do presentations at schools, libraries or for community groups. |
