| Biography |
A former journalist and travel writer, Suzanne turned to playwriting on her arrival in Western Australia from Hong Kong in 1996. She has written a number of full-length plays, including Fragmented and The Quiet Country, and several shorter works including Hard Ware, Angel and the 2008 Maj Monologues’ finalist Blusher. In 2004, she was the recipient of an Australia Council Literature Board grant to develop her playwriting, and in 2006 she received an ArtsWA grant to produce her play Fragmented at the Blue Room Theatre. Fragmented was a critical and commercial success and went on to be nominated for best new play in the 2007 Equity Guild Awards, WA. Suzanne is currently doing a PhD in writing at Edith Cowan University and is a board member of Stages, the WA Playwrights’ Consortium. |
