| Biography | Rob Kaay was born and bred in Perth, Western Australia. He spent the entirety of his twenties in various bands and ended up being signed to one of the biggest major record labels in America, which saw him based in Los Angeles. After retiring from the live music touring circuit and visiting over 30 countries, Rob now resides in beautiful Perth. In 2008 he released his first book about his experience in the music industry called, Robkaay Journals; (Vol I) My Glorious Nightmare. In 2009 he released an urban fantasy novel called, Silverbirch; A Tear in the Fabric of the Night Sky, which cracked the Amazon Top 1000 (out of 7.5 million!) during its first week of release. The podcast version of the book saw him added as a guest speaker at Supanova - Australia's pop-culture expo, where he was invited to sign copies of Silverbirch at the Borders Books stand. Rob's third book was entitled, Robkaay Journals; (Vol II) This is what it's really like being in a band, continuing his music story, and was released in February 2010. Part two of the urban fantasy Silverbirch novels; Fall of the Epicenter, was released in early 2012. |
