| Biography | Lee Battersby is the author of over seventy stories in the US, Europe and Australia, including appearances in markets such as "World's Best Fantasy & Horror", "Best Australian Science Fiction & Fantasy", "Writers of the Future" and "Woman's Day" (pick the odd one out). A collection of his work, entitled "Through Soft Air" has been published by US publisher Prime Books. Awards include the Aurealis, Australian Shadows and Australian SF "Ditmar" awards. As a teacher of writing he developed and currently delivers the SF course for the Australian Writers Marketplace Online Learning Centre, and has conducted workshops for the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers Centre, Fellowship of Australian Writers and the Queensland Writers Centre, as well as acting as tutor at the prestigious international Clarion South "bootcamp" for writers. He lives in Mandurah with his wife, writer Lyn Battersby, a gaggle of kids, and more toy Daleks than is healthy. |
