| Biography | Born in Sydney, I began writing short stories in the seventies with sporadic success. In 1990 I moved to WA and in 1995 won the TAG Hungerford Award for "Jacob's Air", my first novel. In 1999 I moved to New York with my family and wrote the first draft of "Channelling Henry", short listed for the WA Premier's Award in 2004. Next year I hope to publish my fourth novel, "Mick's Museum". I am a sessional lecturer at Curtin and also run community classes and offer mentoring and editing services. In 2008 I gained my PhD in Creative writing from UQ. |
