| Biography |
Barbara Temperton is a Western Australian writer. Her poems, short stories, reviews and articles have appeared in journals, newspapers, and anthologies, and have been broadcast on radio. She is a two-time winner of the Tom Collins Poetry Prize. Her most recent book is Southern Edge: three stories in verse (Fremantle Press, 2009). Her second collection Going Feral (published by Fremantle Arts Centre Press) won the 2002 Western Australian Premier’s Book Award for Poetry. Her more recent projects include song lyrics, narrative poems, and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Western Australia.
Barbara also works as an Editor. Projects include the Mid West Heritage Booklet Series for Geraldton-Greenough Regional Library. Titles: Point Moore Lighthouse, Railways of the Mid West, The Batavia Saga & the Courageous Wiebbe Hayes, and HMAS Sydney II is Found. Rock Lobster Fishing the Batavia Coast, Geraldine Mine, Cemeteries of Greenough-Greenough, Food and Cookery will be launched on 14 April 2011. |
