Varuna 2012 Writer-in-Residence Program

posted in Opportunities on 2012-01-25

In 2012, Varuna has a comprehensive line-up of writers-in-residence, with whom individual writers may apply to work.

To apply for a residency with any of the following Writers-in-Residence (with the exception of Zilahy, Koppe & Reapy), submit an Expression of Interest with 50 pages of your work to Varuna: varuna@varuna.com.au

The cost for a Writer-in-Residence Program is $1500 and covers food, accommodation and workspace to write for one week, as well as extended time, discussion and workshopping with the Writer-in-Residence and fellow writers.

Individual programs will be devised by each writer and posted as they become available. To read resident bios, please click here.

NB. Peter Zilahy (visiting international writer), Dr Hilton Koppe (part of the "Doctors Who ..." program) and Elizabeth Reapy (Tyrone Guthrie Exchange from Ireland) will be "in-residence" but not offering selective programs. Normal residential rates apply.
